1.Coordinates tours of the facility with perspective Residents, families, and referrers either personally or with appropriate interdisciplinary team members.
2.Assists Residents and family members with completing the admission process by assuring all admission paperwork is completed and necessary financial and medical records are obtained.
3.Ensures appropriate preparation of room prior to the arrival of new Residents.
4.Meets with Residents and family on the day of admission to answer any questions and ensure a smooth admission process.
5.Works with the interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent, effective admissions, discharges, and Resident room transfers.
6. Develops and maintains referral base. Reviews clinical referral documents to determine if clinical and financial criteria met for admission, requesting additional referral documents as needed, communicating with provider Case Management staff, communicating with potential residents, family members, and other resources as needed, extending bed offers, and monitoring and maintaining referral systems throughout the day.
7.Provides daily census report to interdisciplinary team.
8.Assists with the development and implementation of long-range and short term marketing plans.
9.Coordinates and participates in presentations about the facility to healthcare professionals and other potential referral sources.
10.Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment and supply issues to appropriate persons.
11.Assure that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained at all times. Follow established safety precautions when preforming tasks and using equipment and supplies.
12.Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of Residents and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment.
13.Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Residents/residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
14.Answers and respond to call lights promptly and courteously when working in Resident care areas.
15.Reports all Resident concerns to the appropriate department head.
16.Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
Required Education and Experience
·High school diploma or equivalent.
·One year experience in a marketing role or similar experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
·Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
·Two years of admissions experience, or nursing facility, healthcare or behavioral health experience. Knowledge of medical terminology and medications.
