Production Supervisor

We are looking for leaders to build, support and maintain a team of employees who perform various aspects of our processes to meet Safety, Quality and Production goals. We need you to create a positive working environment where employees are treated respectfully, fairly, and held to Company Standards. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the results of your respective department.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

• Building and maintaining a team of quality players and creating an environment for them to succeed.
• Maintaining safe and OSHA compliant work area.
• Teaching and training Quality standards for work tasks.
• Communicating production expectation and coordinating activities to attain production quantities. 
• Positive communication and support between departments. 
• Supplying all materials and support that reports need to complete their work in safe/efficient manner.
• Work with leadership team to eliminate road blocks to smooth operation of entire process with focus on respective area of ownership.
• Assisting in the development and adherence to tooling and consumable budget.
• Assuring reports adhering to all company policies and procedures and supporting other supervisors in doing so.
• Teaching and controlling proper care and use of company equipment.
• Manage, review and approve employees work schedules, timecards, and time-off requests.
• Ensuring all employees following the work schedule:
  • Arrive on time, maintain work and pace through the day.
  • Breaks not stretched.
  • All employees work through the end of the shift.
• Administer corrective action with reports as fitting and in accordance with company policy.
• Leading communication and engagement of employees including daily tool box talks that focus on excellence in:

1. Safety 

2. Quality 

3. Production

• Control inventory and maximize the value of damaged and obsolete parts including use on factory second boat builds

Requirements

 Higher education preferred; Manufacturing Experience accepted in lieu of education

 Will develop ability to operate equipment and complete all job tasks of direct reports
