Summary:

As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating threats and vulnerabilities in our company's IT systems. You will also implement and test security solutions, monitor and improve systems, and advise management on policies and procedures related to security. This is a technical position that requires in-depth expertise in specific hard skills such as networking and protocols.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute and track the performance of security measures that protect information, network infrastructure, and computer systems.
• Design computer security strategy and engineer comprehensive cybersecurity architecture.
• Identify, define, and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management.
• Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware
• Manage and recommend software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions.
• Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures.
• Plan, develop, implement and update company’s information security strategy. •
• Design and implement change tracking process
• Work with auditors on documentation, user access revues, separation of duties, and process
• Design and implement identity and access management process
• Educate and train staff on information system security best practices
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Continuous learning and adaptability

*Requires work outside of business of hours for implementation, maintenance and upgrades*

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Two or more years’ work experience as a System Security Engineer in addition to three or more years in IT
• Proven experience developing, operating and maintaining security systems
• Proficiency in cyber security intrusion analysis concepts and techniques.
• Extensive knowledge of operating system security
• Proficiency in networking technologies, network security and network monitoring solutions
• Knowledge of security systems including anti-virus applications, content filtering, firewalls, authentication systems and intrusion detection and notification systems
• In-depth knowledge of security protocols and principles
• Critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problems
• Able to interface with colleagues, senior executives, and clients effectively and personably, recognizing the need to adjust communication style according to the audience.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
