Position: Quality & Safety Manager
Job Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX
Job Type: Full-Time
Status:  Exempt
Summary of the Role
The Quality & Safety Manager is responsible to oversee the company's Quality Management Systems in a systematic, organized manner, including application of quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC), to guarantee that products and processes meet regulatory and customer requirements and product standards. This position reports to the CFO and assists in managing and coordinating the quality program at a corporate level for all product and service-related contracts and projects.
monitoring the quality of products internally or externally manufactured, fabricated, assembled, serviced, and imported or exported; and ensuring the company’s quality-related certifications are maintained satisfactorily.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain ISO 9001 and/or AS 9100 certifications in applicable locations through regular engagement and training with local quality, operations, and sales and customer service personnel.
  • Lead and maintain the company’s internal auditing program by tracking on internal audit requirements, conducting or supporting internal audits, and overseeing implementation of corrective actions.
  • Assist with preparation and execution of activities related to customer quality audits and third-party certifications.
  • Promote awareness of applicable International Standards and Quality Management System requirements throughout the organization.
  • Support product and service failure analysis through execution and oversight of procedures for handling quality-related customer complaints, and drive investigation and resolution.
  • Develop and execute project plans to carry out strategic quality objectives, which may include development of quality-related training materials and drafting quality-related procedures.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity and quality control.
  • Communicate proactively to employees and/or customers to ensure knowledge of required procedures and operations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
  • Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures, and confidentiality regarding personnel and business matters.
  • Business knowledge, acumen and program management skills including the capability to effectively manage programs and processes across multiple areas of the organization.
  • Experience implementing quality initiatives, especially those of ISO 9001 and/or AS 9100 certifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills possessing proven record with quality tools.
  • Demonstrated leader, change agent, influencer, coach, and team builder.
  • Hands-on experience implementing Quality in manufacturing, fabrication, field service, and/or transactional areas.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field preferred
  • 5 years of cumulative quality experience, with 2 years of leadership preferred.
  • Experience in Quality Management Systems including, but not limited to, ISO 9001, AS 9100, AS 9120, and/or IS0 13485
  • Proven ability to execute strategy in a complex business environment.
