Software Applications Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Applications Engineer to join our fast growing team.

In this role you’ll get to:

• Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to ensure cohesive integration of software components.
• Develop and implement Application software for battery management systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and safety.
• Design algorithms for Battery pack state estimation, balancing, and fault detection
• Develop test cases, test sequences and setup test benches for the integration and validation of HV eV sub-systems (Battery Pack/BMS, Thermal System, OBC, DCDC, VCU, Charge Controller etc)
• Work closely with hardware engineers, firmware developers, and other software engineers to achieve seamless integration of software solutions into battery systems. Maintain comprehensive documentation of software design, code, and testing procedures.
• Generate technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders
• Implement and optimize communication protocols between battery management systems and other components in the overall system.
• Provide technical support to the Pack integrators for seamless commissioning and field issues debugging.
• Battery pack Data analysis for prognostic and diagnostic purposes.

To excel you will need:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software development for embedded systems, preferably in battery management or related technologies.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C, C . Simulation tools like Matlab and Simulink.
• Previous experience working with CAN/LIN/UART/I2C/SPI protocols.
• Specifying the development tools needed for System Integration (Vector/NI/dSpace/Keysight)
• Experience with real-time operating systems and embedded software development tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
