Xeris Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is Hiring a Graphic Designer Near Chicago, IL

Overview

The Graphic Designer will have a proven track record in creating compelling visual assets within regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, education, finance, etc. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in generating creative materials for four distinct brands under our company umbrella. This includes a wide range of assets, from brochures and paid social media content to display banners, animated GIFs, and print collateral. This role requires high collaboration across not just the marketing team, but also Medical, Legal and Regulatory to ensure all marketing campaigns meet FDA compliance guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Create visually stunning and effective marketing materials from concept to final execution for multiple brands within the company, all while maintaining strong collaboration with the brand team and channel management team.
  • Demonstrate proven expertise in designing professional slide decks and PowerPoint presentations to the team, contributing to impactful content creation.
  • Develop toolkits of creative assets for various marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Design static and animated display banners for digital advertising campaigns and create and curate engaging content for social media posts, ensuring brand messaging is communicated effectively.
  • Create, edit, and optimize video ads using owned footage, aligning with brand and campaign objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of brand guidelines, ensuring consistency and adherence to regulatory requirements in all design work.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including marketing, compliance, and product development to gather requirements and insights.
  • Handle multiple design projects simultaneously, often with tight deadlines, and prioritize effectively to meet project goals.
  • Interpret and integrate feedback from stakeholders to refine designs and achieve optimal results.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in industry-standard design software and tools.
  • Proofread and approve artwork as per the FDA regulatory guidelines provided by the quality and regulatory teams.
  • Design engaging social and digital media content for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and others.
  • Contribute to a range of design projects, spanning illustration, motion graphics, and UX design.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Fine Arts, or related field.
  • Proven experience of 3-5 years in graphic design within a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, education, finance, etc.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including digital and print assets.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to receive feedback graciously, maintaining a positive and collaborative approach.

Working Conditions

  • This is a hybrid position based in Xeris’ Chicago office and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office. On-site requirement may change at management’s discretion.
  • Occasional overnight travel required up to 20%
