Support Associate 1 to join our team. This position is on-site at our Pasadena office Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Summary:Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day management of IT systems, and for providing on-site support and solutions to employees for their technology needs. Job Duties Include: Provides IT support to laboratory and office employeesProvides service, training and support for first-level end-users, assisting with software and hardware requests and problemsProvides onsite support and support to remote workforce for technical break/fix issues and ongoing understanding of IT/business needsProvisions and deprovisions end-user accounts, access-levels, software and hardwareMaintains and supports both standard business and laboratory environmentsCreates, updates, and reviews departmental documentation (procedures, support tickets, and knowledge base)Maintains software and hardware inventoryAssist with procurement of IT software and hardwareServes as a general backup to all higher-level IT staffAssist with IT projects as assignedAdheres to strict rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines in all IT related workKeeps up to date on IT related training as requiredProvides rotational on-call coverageAdheres to all department and company-wide policies regarding conduct, performance and proceduresPerforms other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Position requires a High School diploma and a minimum of 1 year of related experience; associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in a regulated business environment/industry and understanding of Governance, Risk, Compliance, and/or Cybersecurity concepts preferred. Previous experience in IT support, software and hardware research, recommendation, installation, configuration, maintenance, and/or monitoring preferred. Position also requires:Functional knowledge of endpoint administration covering security, desktops, laptops, smart phones, printers/scanners, conference systems, and peripherals preferredStrong functional knowledge of business applications including Windows Operating system and Microsoft Office 365Basic knowledge of system administration covering security, hardware, software, updates, and backups Basic knowledge of network administration covering security, networking protocols, firewalls, routers, switches, and network appliancesStrong teamwork and collaboration skills working with the IT team, internal business units, partners, third-party vendors and regulatorsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organizationBasic understanding of both technical and business aspects to problems and solutionsExcellent customer service and documentation skills.Ability to demonstrate competencies applicable for job based on Xencor’s Leadership Competency Model Additional Requirements for Laboratory and Research Related JobsThis role may involve exposure to experimental subjects and/or specimens including infected samples, plus various Hazardous Materials and infectious agents (Bloodborne Pathogens, or other potentially infections materials (OPIMs).
