Job Information
Location:
- Main office located at 1692 El Camino Real, Suite 6047, San Carlos, CA 94070
- The Mobile Crisis Response Team with travel throughout/provide support for all of San Mateo County
Shifts:
- AM (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM)
- PM (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM)
- NOC (11:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- ***5-day/40 hour per week & 2-day/16 hour per week shifts available
Duties
- Respond to crisis calls and urgent situations in the San Mateo County.
- Provide on-site intervention for individuals experiencing mental health crises.
- Complete in-depth, rapid assessments of individuals experiencing crisis to determine risk factors and immediate needs.
- Utilize de-escalation tactics to calm individuals in crisis and prevent escalation of the situation.
- Use crisis intervention strategies to address immediate mental health needs and help stabilize individuals.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential harm to self or others and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
Qualifications
Required
- HS Diploma or GED
- Successful completion of Peer Support Training within one (1) year of hire
- Lived experience as beneficiary of Behavioral Health System of care
- Willingness to use company vehicle/program van to travel to locations within the community to respond to crises
- Current and valid driver's license
Preferred
- 1 year of mental health, behavioral health, or addiction support experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.80 - $23.85 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
Experience:
- Mental Health/Behavioral Health/Addiction Counseling: 1 year (Preferred)
