ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Must be able to multi-task projects/problems.
• Solve problems with changing priorities. 
• Answer technical questions about Caterpillar current and non-current machines as well as allied lines Wyoming Machinery Company has sold. 
• Oversee the successful coordination of shop and field service repairs.
• Control cost of the rental fleet and machine sales. 
• Work with company equipment master files both in electric and paper form. 
• Inspect machines or attachments and provide accurate and reliable condition and readiness report to sales team or customers. 
• Work with transportation on machine movement. This includes shipping, receiving and scheduling of equipment transportation.
• Help deliver, load and unload machines and parts as needed.
• Must be able to give either verbal or written form to quote machine and provide customers with enough information to rent or purchase. 
• Work with outside web pages, vendors, and freight companies. 
• Provide demonstration of machines or attachments in a Wyoming Machinery Company yard or customer’s location. 
• Responsible for the successful completion of projects assigned by management, to include those that improve the general business practices of Wyoming Machinery Company. 
• Provide recommendations to management based on the evaluation of the current equipment sales line and possible future equipment lines. 
• Resolve product problems on new, used or rental fleet. 
• Maximize rental and utilization of rental fleet.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

• Help cover the yard coordinator responsibilities as needed.
• Evaluate and appraise used equipment.
• Work with Caterpillar, dealership and other web pages. 
• Participate in dealership, Caterpillar or other outside training. 

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY

• Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience with equipment maintenance/operation.
• Must have good verbal and written skills and strong knowledge of machine operation and application.
• Knowledge of machine systems, repair and maintenance preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, CRM, PowerPoint and the internet is necessary. 
• Ability to operate yard truck, forklift and minor hand tools.
• Ability to utilize Caterpillar and allied line technical literature, pricing pages, shop reports, TA analysis and SOS reports for successful completion of job duties.

PREFERRED

• College degree in technical or mechanical engineering preferred. 
• Minimum of 1 year of sales background is helpful. 
• Equipment administration background is also helpful.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

· Operate basic office equipment such as; computer terminal, copy machines, email, digital camera and the telephone.

· Sit or stand for extended periods.

· Lift up to 50 pounds.

· Safety climb ladder or on equipment in the shop and/or field. 

· Working hours are 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.

· Some overtime may be required depending on workload and project requirements

· Weekend on call required.

· Some travel by automobile and air required, with occasional overnight stay.

· Operate a company vehicle requiring a valid driver’s license (driving record must meet company insurance standards and is reviewed annually).
