ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Aggregates and correlates the five elements of condition monitoring, where all are available.

• Utilize Cat Foresight application to monitor equipment performance and condition data to make and track recommendations
• Utilize DBS, Cat Inspect, Visionlink, fluid analysis, equipment inspections, repair history to provide recommendations to customers and internal teams.

· Functions as a subject matter expert for each of the condition monitoring five elements.

• Provide appropriate fact-based repair or operational recommendations that enable proactive maintenance, repair and application management.
• Works with PSSR/ISR, and service teams to track and manage recommendations from creation to close and provide detail on outstanding, closed, and completed recommendations

· Prepares standard written reports of recommendations for customers and their Caterpillar dealers on a monthly basis.

• Track total recommendation value and provide reports to Management and Executives
• Assist with monitoring machine connectivity

• Assist with Product link/ Visionlink registration as needed

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY

• High school diploma
• Minimum of five years technician experience in a Caterpillar equipment or similar product required.
• Working knowledge of engines, power train, hydraulic systems, Product Link™, VIMS, inspection process, equipment lifecycle planning, S•O•S Services, and the Service Information System is desired
• Minimum of one year experience in S•O•S fluid analysis, equipment inspections, electronic data, or equipment repairs required.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Ability to design and deliver presentation material in an efficient, effective manner.
• Experience with or ability to quickly learn various software systems.
• Proven skills in written and verbal communication, planning, and organizing.
• Ability to apply logic and analytical reasoning skills to solve problems.
• Must be a self-starter with a strong sense of urgency to meet the challenges of a fast-paced business environment.
• Ability to set and manage priorities.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Efficient mechanical and troubleshooting abilities.

PREFERRED

• Degree from a technical school

· Additional training or completed courses in machine maintenance and repair

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

· Ability to use company computer systems, programs, OEM parts, sales and service publications, telephone systems and equipment. Service manuals, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical schematics. 

· Working hours are 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.

· Safely climb on equipment in the shop and/or field. 

· Walk up and down stairs

· Sit or stand 5 – 7 hours a day

· Professional dress is required

· Travel throughout the company territory, including overnight stays.
