About the Job

The Kitchen Staff is at the heart of our business. We must produce a consistent product daily to ensure safety and efficacy for our four-legged customers. One of the most important aspects of the WDFC experience is our open kitchen. We are bringing transparency to the dog food industry and want our customers to see the integrity of our cooking processes. This means our kitchen staff is in full view of the customer at all times and will represent the brand as much as any other member of the team. We have ambitious goals and an unwavering commitment to excellence. We are looking for articulate and motivated employees who want to grow with us.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

*Execute prep work i.e. vegetable washing, vegetable peeling, slicing meat, trimming meat, measuring/portioning ingredients, etc. *Clean, cut, and cook meat, or poultry *Use proper measuring and cooking skills to execute recipes with precision to maintain strict quality standards. *Maintain clean and organized kitchen including floor, work areas, cooking equipment, sinks, trash cans, walk-ins, dry goods storage, utensils, shelving, etc. *Receive and store food on shelves, in walk-in etc. *Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks. *Sweep and mops floors daily *Ensure positive customer experience by performing all kitchen duties with a positive and friendly disposition

Work Environment

*Exposure to dogs *Exposure to cold *Exposure to heat *Exposure to wet floors *Handling raw animal products *Using knives, slicers, ovens, steamers, and stovetops. *Exposure to food waste and their respective receptacles

Physical Requirements

*Ability to use a ladder *Ability to kneel and bend over *Must be able to lift up to 50lbs *Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Position Type and Work Hours

Full or Part Time, up to 40 hours/week between 9 AM and 7 PM

Location

2561 N Miami Ave. in Wynwood, Miami.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $15.00 - $18.00/hour.
