Job Description: JOB SUMMARY: The Safety/Training/Compliance Manager (STCM) is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the health and safety of Coastal Crew Change employees is our top priority. The STCM's duty is to anticipate, identify and correct safety and compliance issues through processes and policies to prevent accidents and injuries. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Protect the health and safety of employees and decrease the potential risk of disease, illness, injury, and exposure to harmful substances
Lead the Wynne team of BTW (behind the wheel) and classroom trainers to maintain a pool of skilled trainers and drivers
Provide leadership/coaching to reduce preventable accidents and inspire "Safety" among drivers
Reduce workers' compensation injuries claims and costs
Plan/implement "Quarterly" safety meetings and monthly "Safety Messaging" for all drivers
Improve driver hiring process and decrease hire time
Create driver training curriculum to train drivers in areas they need - experienced drivers on the road sooner and less experienced drivers specific FMCSA training
Minimize the potential for penalties assessed by various enforcement agencies by maintaining compliance with Federal and state regulations
Ensure all corporate safety programs and policies are implemented and followed
Implement training and inspection requirements for other enforcing agencies and/or certifying entities aligned with the Safety Program
Administer accident claims, maintain and submit monthly loss control summaries and maintain accident files
Maintain Driver Qualification files including conducting annual file reviews, coordinate and provide training as required
Conduct MVRs and background checks on new hires
Maintain the Medical Management Program and record keeping
Manage Workers' Compensation claims filing reports and tracking claim progress
