SCHOOL BUSINESS OFFICIAL

Duties include but are not limited to:

¨ Assist the Superintendent in long-range budget development and direct the process of school funds to ensure the District derives maximum benefits from the prudent expenditure of school dollars

¨ Knowledge in all areas of school management, operations and procedures, as well as having the skill set of an Accountant. A fundamental understanding of School Law, Labor Law and NYSED Commissioner's Regulations. Ability to manage multiple operations, have superior communication skills and culturally literate.

¨ Supervise Financial Accountant, Payroll, Benefits, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Civil Service Support Staff, Transportation, Treasurer, School Facilities, Operations, Federal Child Nutrition Program

Minimum Requirements:

¨ NYS School District Business Leader / School Business Administrator Certification

¨ Masters Degree in Accounting/Business Administration

¨ Minimum of five (5) years experience as a School Business Official with a

record of leadership management of a multi-million dollar budget
