WV Department of Health and Human Resources is Hiring a Groundskeeper Near Beckley, WV
Nature of Work
These positions are responsible for the appearance, repair, and general care of the grounds of a state facility. Responsibilities include performing a variety of landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks such as maintaining grass, flowers, shrubs, trees; mows grass and trims shrubbery to ensure that the outdoor areas are well-kept. They may perform necessary preventive measures for insect and vermin control and against other damaging effects. Perform related work as required.
Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug testing for probable cause as set forth in agency and bureau policies. Applicants must successfully complete a criminal background check. Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position. This facility is a tobacco free facility; however, you may be exposed to secondhand smoke as some residents who reside here are exempt.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or the equivalent.
