Analytical Development Operations Specialist ia responsible for the daily operations of the Analytical Development Laboratories. Oversees equipment and materials in both areas to ensure the technical teams are always operational and setup to deliver new programs on time. Maintains thecompliance and safety of the laboratories.

Responsibilities

Regularly interacts with EHS (safety and biosafety) to ensure laboratories are safefor personnel. Ensures chemical and biological inventories are up to date, asneeded.

Equipment/Materials:

• Interacts with Purchasing to ensure reagent and equipment orders are on time.Partners with Warehouse personnel to ensure on time delivery to the laboratories.
• Author equipment SOPs, as needed, for Analytical Development.
• Ordering reagents and materials, as needed
• Initiate, track, and complete change controls for new equipment.
• Investigates and responds to equipment OOTs for Analytical Development.Coordinates with appropriate technical personnel, as needed.
• Responsible for REES/ELPRO monitoring and response for AnalyticalDevelopment.
• Initiate work orders for broken or out of service equipment. Partner with Metrologyand Facilities for swift correction of the problem.
• Works with Facilities and Metrology to schedule and complete equipmentcleanings and calibrations
• Responsible for cleaning and submitting pipettes for regular calibrations

Cleaning:

• Oversees the lab aides to ensure the laboratory cleaning is completed on time andappropriately. Interacts with the lab aide supervisor routinely.
• Completes all required training (i.e. safety, equipment etc.).

Qualifications

• Bachelors’ degree in Biological Sciences or science related field with 6 years ofexperience or
• Master’s degree in Biological Sciences with 4 years of experience or

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• High attention to detail
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Strong scientific background is preferred.
• Experience in a cGMP environment is desirable.
• Previous experience with lab maintenance is preferable.
• Ability to use judgment as dictated by complexity of situation.
• Ability to work under limited supervision and to handle problems of a complex nature.
• Excellent Oral & Written communication skills
• Need to be able to read, write and understand English
• Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)
