About BNY Mellon Advisors:

BNY Mellon Advisors is a unique business within BNY Mellon Investment Management that focuses on asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager research, and alternatives within a OCIO context as well as asset management context. The business constructs and manages multi-asset, multi-manager investment strategies using both proprietary and third-party investment strategies.

In addition, the team also acts as a discretionary, or non-discretionary, provider to asset owners on a global basis across institutional, intermediary, and family office channels. The business works across all of BNY Mellon and its affiliates and subsidiaries including, but not limited to, Global Distribution, Pershing, Asset Servicing, and the various investment affiliates of BNY Mellon. BNY Mellon Advisors designs and implements investment strategies that are bespoke to client needs and objectives using a myriad of asset classes, investment strategies, and overlays.

We're seeking a Senior Vice President, Business Planning and Project Manager to join our BNY Mellon Advisors team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA and is a hybrid working position.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Managing highly complex special projects related to budget, business plans, risk-related items, regulatory items communications (presentations/speeches) and implementing policies, standards, processes, and strategic projects.
  • Analyzing project implementation status and provides feedback to Principal Planning Consultants or senior managers. Solving complex issues in implementation to make recommendations for improving the project status.
  • Leading initiatives within the business. Working closely with senior management to understand their needs and provides appropriate guidance, direction, and communication.
  • Working with the business team to implement and enforce policies, standards, and processes that require in-depth knowledge of business or function roles and organizational design
  • Planning and administering business-led programs such as people-related management, global location strategy, meeting management, etc..
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • 8-10 years of experience in financial services or business partner function preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • At least 3 years in project management or applicable business or function and cost-effective budgetary responsibility; experience in wealth or investment management is a plus

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $108,700 and $215,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $108,700 and $225,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
