Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage all engineering/maintenance and housekeeping operations, including administration, HR, purchasing, scheduling, and quality assurance.
Demonstrate commitment to our company's mission, values, and standards of ethical behavior, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
Provide support and promote teamwork among team members, ensuring fair treatment and effective communication.
Ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including room cleanliness, service quality, and inventory management.
Conduct regular room inspections and maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for service contracts and project needs.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to protect assets and ensure efficient operations.
Monitor and manage departmental budgets and expenses, including ordering supplies and controlling costs.
Respond to maintenance defects and other issues promptly, coordinating with the General Manager as needed.
Recruit, interview, and train departmental staff, ensuring proper onboarding and ongoing development.
Maintain effective communication with all levels of management and staff, providing regular updates and reports as needed.
Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory requirements, making recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
Demonstrated leadership skills and a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in hospitality industry management, preferably in housekeeping and engineering.
Strong commitment to excellence in customer service and adherence to company values.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of hotel regulations, operational processes, and safety standards.
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and external partners.
Flexibility to workday shifts, weekends, holidays, and beyond normal working hours as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and hotel management software.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle pressure, and solve problems creatively.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in work performance.
