WRNN-TV Associates is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist Near Brook, NY

POSITION SUMMARY: The Accounts Receivable Specialsit is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical support to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gathers and sorts documents for weekly billing and related information. 
  • Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments. 
  • Processing cash collections, mainly via credit card portal
  • Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments. 
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. 
  • Support the Accounts Payable function for one subsidiary - as needed
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions. 
  • Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions. 
  • Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments. 
  • Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls. 
  • Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents. 
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 
  • Special projects requested by the CFO and controller.

DIRECT REPORTS: Controller

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must have 2 years or more of A/R experience along with a 4 Year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
