WPM located in Owings Mills, MD is looking for a Staff Accountant for our ARE division. The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing accounting and financial analytics for the Association Real Estate division clients.

**The salary for this position is $55k based on experience**

Essential Functions:

• Reconcile bank accounts, debit card statements, and book Journal Entries as appropriate.
• Review variances and generate monthly financial reports.
• Maintain the General Ledger for Association clients.
• Prepare year end requests for auditors.
• Ensure annual budgets are documented in accounting systems & records.
• Prepare monthly Financial Statements for Association clients.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and their application.
• Ability to work effectively in teams and individually.
• Ability to manage priorities and multi-task.
• Must possess strong mathematical, financial, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors/Associate degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum of two years’ experience working in property management, real estate industry or related business.
• Or, Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working with Property Management systems, including Vantaca, highly desirable.
