Wound Care Plus, LLC is Hiring a Part-time Nurse Practitioner Near Rockford, IL

This position will be hybrid remote. Clinicians are expected to provide treatment within assigned facilities. Charting can be prepared remotely

We can treat anyone with a wound or skin disorder at almost any location including hospitals, outpatient wound centers, long-term care, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, residential care communities, and group homes. Wound Care Plus, LLC reduced the percentage of patients with severe infection-related complications by 5.3-fold, decreased the usage of systemic antibiotics by 29%, and almost doubled the number of patients healed by 12 weeks using fluorescent imaging.

This is an excellent opportunity for all providers, with or without direct wound care experience, to join an expanding practice group and develop a career for themselves. Our providers will take a leadership role in their regional market, providing wound care services to Wound Care Plus facilities and individuals. Providers are recognized as the leader and experts within their given facilities; helping oversee wound care programs across multiple regional teams.

Job Summary:

As part of joining the team, providers will receive hands-on training regarding Wound Care Plus benchmarks and proprietary programs while learning from leading clinicians and researchers. Candidates must be licensed Nurse Practitioners in the state of Illinois. New hires will precept by a highly trained wound specialist Advanced wound specialist. Wound Care Plus has set protocols authored from best practice standards that must be followed. The candidate will be trained on differential diagnostics and certifications may be obtained at the employer’s expense if an employer requires.

Responsibilities:

- Prior wound care experience is a plus but not required as Wound Care Plus is unique to the industry

- Strong bedside manner and demonstrated ability to work well and collaborate with patients and other clinicians and bedside nurses

- Leadership abilities to manage care for multiple facilities and work well with nursing and administrative staff

- Exceptional skills with electronic and digital equipment (iPad, email, texting, apps used for communication and HIPAA security)

- The Nurse Practitioner provides primary patient care for specifically assigned patients including assessments, care planning, evaluations, and education

- Provide compassionate care to diverse patients and their families

- Communicates effectively with the entire care team including the patient’s community primary care provider and health plan care/ service coordinator

- Critical thinking and Reasoning

Wound Care Plus supports its team member with:

-Monday-Friday; no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call

- No cap on pay

- Billing functions managed by WCP

- Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

- Access to leading researchers in the field

- Credentialing provided by WCP

- Support Network system of physicians, nurses, and other leaders

License/ Certification:

Certified Nurse Practitioner (Required)

Iowa and Illinois

Experience:

Wound/skincare: 1 year (preferred)

EMR systems: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: Remote
