PURPOSE OF THE ROLEAs a Subcontracts Manager at Worley, you will be a crucial contributor to our mission of delivering sustainable change. You will oversee and manage subcontracting activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with our quality and safety standards. Your role will involve identifying and evaluating subcontractors, negotiating terms, managing contracts, and ensuring that subcontracted work aligns with Worley's sustainability goals and operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSubcontractor Identification: Identify potential subcontractors based on project requirements, technical expertise, and their ability to meet our sustainability and performance standards.Prequalification: Evaluate subcontractors' capabilities, financial stability, safety records, past performance, and compliance with Worley's standards and policies to ensure they are fit for the project.
Negotiation: Lead negotiations with subcontractors on terms, pricing, scope of work, deliverables, and other relevant contractual elements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and company standards.
Contract Development: Collaborate with legal and project teams to draft and review subcontract agreements, ensuring they meet project and company requirements.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with subcontractors and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring mechanisms to track subcontractors' performance, ensuring adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements. Create and maintain detailed reports on subcontract status.
Issue Resolution: Address any issues or disputes that arise during the execution of subcontracted work, facilitating timely and effective resolutions.
Change Management: Manage any changes to subcontract scope, timeline, or budget, ensuring proper documentation and communication to relevant stakeholders.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all subcontracting activities, including contracts, correspondence, approvals, and other relevant documentation.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, project teams, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and integration of subcontracted work into the overall project plan.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance subcontract management processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and process improvements.
People Management: Lead and manage a team of subcontracts personnel, serving as the primary point of contact for the project team regarding the status, progress, and completion of subcontracts for assigned projects.
