WHO we’re looking for:
We are looking for a Software Test Engineer—Field/Protocol who will be responsible for researching and testing the design, requirements, functionalityand maintenance of software, systems and processes and develop qualitystandards.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the verification and validation of latesttest devices and software applications.
- Includes executing field/protocol test in a mobile orstationary environments based on 5G/LTE/GSM technologies.
- Creates, extends, and executes automated test plans toverify Wireless Mobile operation.
- Use of logging tools and analyzing issues from logs,call failure and call drop analysis.
- Prepare test reports on readiness of software afteranalysis of test results (Pass/Failures).
- Report defects found during testing on the testmanagement system and track defect status periodically.
- Analyze carrier requirement documents/3GPPspecifications, develop test cases and create drive routes.
- Assist seniors in preparation of progress reports,performing work audit and device inventory tracking.
- Individual contributor role will contribute to theproduct development team.
Required Experience and Education:
- 3-5 years' directly related experience required inandroid testing and field/protocol testing.
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, EE or relatedfield required.
- Strong experience in field testing of mobile devicesbased on 5G/LTE/GSM technologies and 3GPP/3GPP2 Standards.
- Knowledge of latest wireless technologies IMS/VoLTE,TCP/IP, MIMO, CA, ePDG, E911.
- Experience with tools like QXDM/QCAT/QPST,Wireshark/Ethereal/ADB.
- Experience in Android and smartphone platforms,including telephony and RIL, Qualcomm/Samsung AP/MDM Chipset Architecture.
- Automation testing experience using automationframeworks with Python, Java, and JavaScript language and ability of analyzingAndroid logs, bugreport, dumpState, etc.
- Experience in project tracking systems like JIRA, TestCentral etc.

- Detail-oriented with strong organization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Limited supervision and the exercise of discretion.
- Ability to workeffectively with other team members.
- Work under minimum supervision and tight businessdeadlines.
- Availability to work overtime during weekdays, weekendsand ready to travel whenever required (about 20%)

Specific vision abilities required by the job include ability to distinguish the nature of objects by using the eye. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90% ) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity.
Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. May require working additional time beyond normal schedule and periodic travel.
