Position Summary

This position will be responsible for designing testing plans, software, and procedures to verify requirements of specific programs or products. A major element to this involves developing Innoflight’s internal software automation tools using Python. This position involves working to improve Innoflight’s testing capabilities, mapping product requirements to those capabilities, and expanding testing capability were insufficient. This role will also be responsible for investigating failures, debugging test setups, software, and hardware to identify root cause, and presenting findings to Test Review Boards to resolve issues.

Industrialization Test Engineers serve as Integration and Test engineers for programs, working with the hardware and software teams to resolve issues that arise during integration and push the product forward through the release process.

Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Identifies testable requirements of a product and develops test plans for validating various features.
• Writes Design and Acceptance test procedures to be used in engineering development and in the product manufacturing process.
• Develops software, primarily in python, to interface with test equipment and products to conduct testing.
• Debugs failures and presents findings at Test Review Boards.
• Works with the manufacturing operations team to improve test readability and reliability.
• Collaborates with the hardware and software teams to integrate and test products and troubleshoot root cause issues that arise.
• Provides accurate estimates for the development of test features and test procedures.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) is highly desired. Combination of experience and education in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
• 2 or more years of experience in similar or related role.
• Strong experience with Python programming and automation.
• Experience with C/C , Javascript, SQL, and Linux is a plus.
• Experience documenting and tracking issues, and presenting findings to others.
• Experiencing troubleshooting software and communication with hardware interfaces.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Frequently required prolonged periods in stationary position at a desk entering text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to move, position self, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally transport up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers, far visual acuity, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Salary Range:

$80,000.00 - $112,500.00

However, Innoflight considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills. Employees may be eligible for profit sharing and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
