Job Duties (daily):
- Structured and process-oriented
- Operate digital printers, wide format and cutter equipment
- Implement policies and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe products
- Above average in computer systems
- Efficiency with design software
- Effectively communicate internally through verbal and written communications
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the vision and business plan of the Owners on a day-to-day basis
- Oversee and manage the overall day-to-day production operations of the business
- Implement principals of lean manufacturing and workflow processes
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and coordinates purchasing efforts to ensure adequate paper,
toner and other materials are in inventory to complete jobs on time
- Know and understand the capabilities of the print and production equipment and uses this knowledge to efficiently schedule production/manufacturing
- Maintain relationships with trade printers and binderies and manages sublet vendors as required
- Provide support to the sales team; serves as a liaison between sales and operations ensuring on-time delivery of products and services
Efficiency:
- Work effectively within the team to include:
- Excellent time keeping to ensure client's timelines are met
- Keep flexible work procedures to meet changing demands as dictated by production schedules (rush jobs) and workflow
- Adhere to company policies and safety regulations and risk assessments; recommend improvements to quality of service and efficiency conferring with your management team
- Maintain a clean and controlled workspace to allow job to move freely and others to share the workspace
Quality:
- Maintain excellent levels of housekeeping
- Ensure the highest standards of quality control are achieved using learned techniques
- Give full support to team leader
- Report any production issues/timeline adjustments as necessary
- Maintain ALL equipment in line with company policies
- Be client connection and relationship based but efficient in time management
