Position Overview

This position is part of our company ELT and so is designated Hybrid.
The Chief of Staff at Workhuman will act as a strategic advisor and operational backbone to the executive leadership, particularly the CEO, playing a crucial role in supporting and amplifying the effectiveness of the leadership team. This role is pivotal for driving strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and enhancing the organization's agility and effectiveness. The Chief of Staff will ensure the seamless execution of strategies and operations, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and lead high-impact projects to support Workhuman's vision of transforming the workplace through gratitude and humanity.
The Chief of Staff will be a key partner for the Chief Executive Officer from executive level decision making, strategy planning, managing project executions and stakeholder management. The position will collaborate with other C-suite and divisional leaders to drive multiple key planning processes, mid-term projects, and long-term business initiatives. The scope of the position includes but is not limited to development of key corporate materials including board presentations, executive communications, and corporate performance dashboards, and ensuring timely operationalization of executive decisions while navigating through fast-moving and ambiguous situations.
Principal Duties:
  • Serve as the primary conduit for information flow to and from the CEO, synthesizing data to inform key decisions.
  • Guide the Senior and Executive Leadership Teams' agendas, summarizing decisions and ensuring the execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Offer comprehensive management support across various departments, handling sensitive operations, special projects, and complex issues with discretion.
  • Identify and execute strategies to refine business processes, enhance decision-making efficiency, communication, and meeting effectiveness.
  • Attend cross functional strategy and operational meetings, document and join the dots on initiatives and opportunities.
  • Manage and optimize the allocation of executive resources for maximum impact.
  • Foster open and regular communication between the organization's leadership, teams, and employees, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Proactively address and resolve issues, communicating necessary escalations in a structured and effective manner.
  • Utilize exceptional analytical abilities to evaluate strategic challenges, proposing innovative solutions to drive progress.
  • Lead impactful projects, collaborating with internal teams and external advisors to adapt to evolving business needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A proven background in a relevant field with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, demonstrating the ability to direct diverse teams across an organization.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, capable of distilling complex issues into accessible insights for varied audiences.
  • Strong communication skills, ensuring clarity and impact in presentations and across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated financial and business acumen, with a keen understanding of operational and fiscal management.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Adept at problem-solving, with a strong ability to navigate cultural and interpersonal dynamics.
