Job Description


Workforce Solutions Borderplex is one of 28 public workforce development boards in Texas serving the six-county Borderplex region.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Operations Coordinator works directly with the Operations Manager to build strong relationships with team members across the organization, influence outcomes, and maintain positive momentum toward achieving strategic organizational goals.

Performs complex professional assistance work. Work involves coordinating high-level administrative operations. Provides guidance both formally and informally while promoting positive individual and collective success.


Role and Responsibilities

Develop and lead strategically oriented projects, optimizing outcomes consistent with the strategy and targets of the organization and with the resources available in the organization.

  • Assists with the development, review, and editing of reports.
  • Builds strong collaborative relationships with professional and community leaders.
  • Promotes an image of a high-quality organization through expertise and responsiveness.
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
  • Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings.
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Ensuring project deadlines are met.
  • Determining project changes.
  • Undertaking project tasks as required.
  • Develops project strategies.
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Ensures stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
  • Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.

Experience and Education Requirements

Some college or associate degree is preferred.

At least one year of related work experience is highly desired.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet requirements to be included as an authorized driver on the Workforce Solutions Borderplex Commercial Package Policy as stipulated by the insurance carrier. Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks.
