You will own the privacy aspects of the ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, and ISO 27701 certifications for our SaaS products as well as the privacy aspect of our SOC 2 Type audits, TISAX AL3 assessment, and any future audits and attestations around privacy. You will drive our internal privacy risk process.

The VP of Privacy will recommend ways to enhance security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy controls, including changes to policies and procedures. 

You will work closely with our security, legal, IT audit, and third-party management teams, and with many process owners throughout the company.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with and support internal teams including the Audit Manager to ensure teams have the required documentation to pass various audits including ISO certifications, SOC 1 Type II, SOC 2 Type II, TISAX, and any other audits, including internal audits.
  • Maintain, update, and enhance privacy policies, notices, standards, and procedures.
  • Maintain the Record of Processing Activities (currently in OneTrust) as both a data controller and data processor.
  • Perform Data Protection Impact Assessments to assess privacy risks of applicable processing activities and work with risk owners to remediate unacceptable risk.
  • Work closely with Legal on contracts, transfer impact assessments, privacy notices, legitimate interest assessments, and managing notifications to customers around changes in sub-processors.
  • Advise our third-party management team around privacy due diligence activities.
  • Monitor privacy regulations that might impact us or our customers.
  • Respond to customer requests for information about our privacy program and our compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Drive gap analyses to determine areas for improvements to mature our privacy posture.
  • Manage relationship with Data Protection Officer and EU Representative.

Requirements

  • A “can-do, get-it-done” attitude.
  • Experience participating in ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 27701, SOC 1, SOC 2, EU-US Data Privacy Framework, FedRAMP, StateRAMP, NIST SP-800-53, HIPAA, PCI DSS, TISAX, CIS or similar audits.
  • Experience and expertise in conducting privacy control reviews and risk assessments.
  • Experience with writing, enforcing, and improving privacy policies, notices, standards, and procedures.
  • Experience owning, managing, driving, and reporting on Privacy Risk in a mature organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent ability to occasionally represent our privacy program to customers via calls and presentations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent judgment, and self-motivation.
  • Advanced organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • A broad knowledge of the technical infrastructure and architecture of systems.
  • A self-starter and ability to work independently and as part of a group.
  • Keep abreast of industry privacy and security trends and developments, as well as applicable government regulations.

Travel

  • 0 to 10%. Opportunity for international travel.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience.
  • Industry recognized privacy certifications (CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPT, CIPM, CDPSE, etc.)
