Job Description :

Our Client is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Exterior Painter / Prep Laborer to join their dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting exterior surfaces of residential and commercial properties to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities :

• Surface Preparation : Clean, scrape, sand, and apply primer to exterior surfaces to ensure a smooth and durable finish.
• Paint Application : Mix, match, and apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes to exterior surfaces using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
• Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines during the preparation and painting processes. Understand and implement OSHA safety regulations.
• Equipment Maintenance : Repair and maintain painting tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, and ladders, to ensure optimal performance.
• Team Communication : Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and to client satisfaction.
• Worksite Organization : Maintain a clean and organized work environment, properly storing materials and tools and ensuring safety.
• Process Improvement : Report any issues or suggest improvements in the painting process to supervisors for enhanced efficiency and quality.

Qualifications and Skills :

• Experience : Minimum of 2 years' experience in exterior painting and preparation, with proficiency in power washing, scraping, and sanding.
• Technical Skills : Proficient in the use of painting tools and equipment. Knowledge of various paints, finishes, and application methods is essential.
• Physical Fitness : Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Detail-Oriented : Strong focus on quality, with an eye for spotting surface imperfections and ensuring a flawless application.
• Communication : Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in painting or related field is highly regarded.

Monday - Friday, 7am-3 : 30pm
