We are seeking an In-Room Dining Server to join our outstanding team.

Our In Room Dining servers create for our guests a sumptuous restaurant experience in the privacy of their room. They deliver service that is gracious and professional, friendly and discreet, while consistently meeting the Hotel's high quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promptly answers the Room Service telephone within three rings using the correct daytime greeting and proper telephone etiquette.
  • Takes Room Service orders over telephone and relays orders to the Kitchen.
  • Carries silverware, linen, and food on tray or uses serving cart to transport order to room.
  • Delivers Room Service order to guest room.
  • Follow all safety, hygiene and cleanliness protocols at all times.
  • Sets up table and serves food from cart.
  • Sets up trays with proper condiments and utensils.
  • Delivers VIP Amenities.
  • Answers questions regarding Room Service and responds to requests for additional food or drink service.
  • Collects payment and or presents Room Service checks to the guest for signature and makes change if necessary.
  • Cleans and wipes down all Room Service trays.
  • Collects or stacks dirty dishes on tray, table, or serving cart and removes from room or retrieves from hall outside of room.
  • Completes all assigned side work.
  • All other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the Hotel from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with the hotel rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Able to communicate effectively with the public and other team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Meets legal age requirements for the position.

CERTIFICATES LICENSE AND REGISTRATIONS

Serve Safe certificate desired. Food Handler certification required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. Six months previous Food & Beverage experience is preferred.

All associates must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available.)

PAY SCALE

The pay scale for this position is $16.00 per hour plus gratuities. This is the pay rate for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay.
