Summary/Objective
The Shipping and Receiving / Driver verifies and maintains records on incoming and outgoing shipments, receives items and prepares items for shipment. Transports goods between warehouse and plant as needed.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Incoming material
a. Confirm certificate of conformance and reconciliation of receiving/purchase documentation.
b. Complete receiving entries in computer system. Distribute to purchasing office for filing.
c. Reject damaged items, document shortages. Report questionable conditions to supervisor.
d. Routes incoming shipments to appropriate party.
e. Unload materials with fork truck. Make pick-ups using company truck & vehicle.
2. Outgoing material
a. Prepare outgoing material for shipment.
b. Make arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified by the customer.
c. Ensure outgoing material has been approved by Quality.
d. Complete shipping documentation (Packing Slips, Bill of Lading, Advanced Shipping Notice).
e. Make deliveries using company vehicle.
3. Maintain neat and organized warehouse and work area
a. Maintain work area, equipment, and warehouse in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
b. Maintain FIFO procedures.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications for Hire
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Ability to perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and unit conversions).
3. Comfortable using basic computer software (Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word).
4. Valid Driver's License,
Preferred Qualifications (On the job training provided)
1. Forklift Certified.
2. Class C Driver's License.
3. Knowledge of general safety best practices.
4. Knowledge of all applicable quality standards.
5. Proficient in applicable IQMS software modules.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
While performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Some of the work will be performed in manufacturing facility where the noise level may be loud.
