Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Under minimal supervision provides administrative and clinical oversight as assistant to Program Director. Performs all electronic Medi-Cal and private pay billing functions prepares all documents including Medi-Cal TARS Individual Plans of Care weekly treatment schedules daily schedules monthly reports to contractors grantors and 4 state agencies Oversight of quality assurance and measures. Prepares monthly accounting balance for all revenue generating activities to Dignity Health Finance. Responsible for preparing maintaining and auditing patient’s health records as dictated by Title 22. Monitors regulatory compliance. Coordinates transportation schedules and serves as dispatch. Manages all office operations such as office equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma. CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Minimum of one-year experience providing a therapeutic activities to disabled persons and frail elders.
  • Knowledge of: Person centered care philosophy.
  • Effective and therapeutic individual and group activities.
  • General knowledge of disabilities and disabled persons. Overall needs is useful.
  • Ability to: Work cooperatively with participants volunteers staff and other agencies.
  • Promote independence.
  • Sensitive and mature individual energy flexibility patience empathy initiative sense of humor.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Knowledge of computers to generate documents flyers and research activities.
  • Organize workload efficiently.
  • Complete and maintain records. Function independently with minimal supervision.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Current administrative assistant and business office practices.
  • Extensive MS Office Suite. Professional telephone etiquette.
  • HIPAA practices and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Use of office equipment.
  • Medical terminology.
  • Conflict resolution and team building skills.
  • Ability to: Function independently to pursue objectives and to deal with multiple projects and roles with proper regard to priority setting for progress and timely results.
  • Master appropriate computer software essential to functions of job.
  • Organize work effectively.
  • Provide support to various departments and be an effective team member.
  • Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive business matters and correspondence.
  • Establish and maintain effective and courteous working relationships with all staff participants and the community exemplifying the vision and values of Woodland Healthcare.
  • Possess the ability to adjust to situations involving frequent interruptions and to perform under stressful conditions. Represents the agency to the public in a positive appearance and manner.
  • Physical Factors: Physically able to walk stand stoop and lift ability to sit for several hours at a time good manual dexterity repetitive motion at computer visual and auditory acuity.
  • Extensive computer use.
  • Must be BLS Certified within 6 months of hire.
