Woodland Foods is Hiring a Production Worker - 2nd shift Near WAUKEGAN, IL

Qualify for a $1000 Sign on Bonus

Hours: 3:00 P.M. - 11:30 P.M with OT and Saturdays

Production workers must be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions to complete their work with accuracy and efficiency. The nature of all production positions is repetitive motions for extended periods of time. This includes receiving and executing instructions from any of the Production Supervisors and/or lead on what orders need to be processed; execution of these instructions may include packing, blending, processing, cleaning, material handling, equipment operation, and sanitation.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Packing
  • Processing
  • Cleaning
  • Weigh and Label products by hand
  • Follow all safety procedures and work in an efficient manner
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Staging finished product on pallets
  • Communicate with Production regarding any discrepancies in product inventory and/or product quality
  • Inspect equipment used daily and report as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • High School diploma or GED a plus
  • Knowledge of general warehouse operations, Production, and /or food industry experience is a plus
  • Must be flexible with hours, a possibility for OT
  • Ability to lift up to 55lbs (55lbs-65lbs team lift)
  • Must follow all WLF GMPs and work consistently with all food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

  • Basic computer skills are a plus
  • Ability to read and write some English
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Ability to prioritize and learn quickly
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Eagerness to learn
