Woodland Academy is Hiring an Infant/Young Toddler Teacher Near Rogers, AR
We are looking for a highly qualified Infant/Toddler Teacher. You will provide amazing experiences that will challenge them to grow and develop into all that God has for them.
MUST have a degree in ECE/Elementary Ed or related field or verifiable experience.
Our infant/toddler teacher must have a great love and patience for children, bright, extremely friendly and communicative with parents, staff and administrators.
Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and a willingness to learn and develop a working knowledge of our philosophy grounded in Reggio Emilia and researchers including Emmi Pikler, Magda Gerber and Resources for Infant Educarers. No worries if you don't know about these amazing educators...we will teach you and you will fall in love with their philosophies too! You must be willing to learn our educational methods--using natural gross motor development and gentle caregiving practices-- as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention. The goal is to contribute to the healthy cognitive and emotional development of each child.
Responsibilities
Collaborate to develop a careful and creative program for children while using the Reggio Emilia philosophy and the research of Emmi Pikler, Magda Gerber and Resources for Infant Educarers
Teach and model living out the tenets of the Christian faith
Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, invitations to play and provocations for play, etc.) to teach children
Observe and document observations for each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
Engage with children using open ended questioning and narrating daily caregiving events
Guide children to develop their artistic and creative capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum
Track children’s progress and report to parents
Communicate with parents regularly using a variety of methods
Collaborate with other educators
Maintain an immaculate classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Maintain our Reggio Emilia space with fidelity
Skills
Proven experience as a Infant-Toddler/Preschool Teacher
Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and early childhood education methods
Maintain all safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
Excellent communication and instructional skills
Ability to act as mediator between children
Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen
Maintain certification in child CPR, mandated reporting, etc...
Maintain all Better Beginnings trainings and protocols
