WCN MEDICAL PERSONNEL Job Description

Job Title: Medical Staff Personnel/RN Staff

Department: Medical

Reports To: Nurse Manager and Center Director

FLSA Status: 20-30 hours/week

Summary Cares for and treats clients in the center as directed by the Medical Director’s Standing Orders and within the scope of practice of the WCN Medical Policies and Procedures as outlined by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Conducts intakes and assesses client needs and makes medical judgments that reflect safe clinic practices

• Administers pregnancy tests

• Cleans instruments and equipment, and maintains stock of supplies

• Conducts specified laboratory tests as directed by the Medical Director’s Standing Orders

• May assist in explaining the sonogram process to patient and assisting patient in assuming physical position for examination

• Maintains accurate patient records under the supervision of the Nurse Manager

• May be asked to attend medical conferences that offer professional training and information pertinent to the center’s practices to meet State CME requirements

• Attends monthly staff meetings and WCN functions

• Attends volunteer training seminar

• Assists in center outreach campaigns, i.e. distributing swag on college campuses, distributing flyers in neighborhood businesses.

Education and/or Experience

Registered Nursing Degree and Licensure; one year related experience

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Training will be provided for site specific systems

Current PA State Medical License

Current Driver's License

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
