Women Care is Hiring a FT/PT Ultrasound Technician Near Mansfield, OH

Women's Care, Inc. is a private owned doctor's office with a family like atmosphere. We are looking for an experienced OB/GYN Ultrasound Technician. Our ideal candidate would have completed a sonography program from an accredited institution and passed all examinations from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Understands medical terminology, has a keen eye for detail, and adheres to all ultrasound machine operation procedures. We are seeking either a part time person working from 20-29 hours or a full time person working from 30 to 40 hours a week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepares the patient for ultrasound, explains the procedure, and answers any questions the patient may have.

2. Treats patients with respect, courtesy, and kindness.

3. Performs the ultrasound procedure, recognizing significance of visualized structures, identifies artifacts while appreciating the limitations of the equipment.

4. Critiques the scan, consulting with physician, as needed.

5. Informs appropriate physician of abnormal ultrasounds and correlates suggestions on further testing.

6. Prints schedules and finds appropriate codes.

7. Prints doctor list daily. Reviews OB charts to ensure no ultrasound are overlooked.

8. Prints NST list daily. Reviews all gestational diabetes patient’s charts to maintain fetal weights at proper times.

9. Documents in chart any pertinent information for provider such as fetal weight, (SGA, LGA) fetal positions and any other issues.

10. Follows guidelines in the ultrasound procedure manual when performing:

a. OB Scan

b. GYN Scan

c. Infertility Scan

d. SIS

e. Breast Scan

11. Properly sanitize and disinfect ultrasound equipment and transducers

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

1. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

2. OB/GYN Experience

3. OB/GYN Registry (preferred) or may be within 1 year of hire
