Job Summary :

Works collaboratively with the staff of the hospital to provide a safe environment for our stakeholders. Proactively addresses and deescalates tense situations and / or conflict.

Responds to requests for security assistance and works with law enforcement as needed. Enforces security policies and procedures of the hospital.

Investigates incidents and prepares written reports. Provides security-related training and patrols the premises as needed.

The primary role and responsibility will be that of the hospital’s first responder .

Job Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associates degree or higher in related field is preferred. Must maintain a valid LA license and excellent driving record.

Five years of experience in military, law enforcement or security is preferred. Peace Officer Standards & Training (POST) active certification is preferred.

Job Knowledge :

Must have knowledge and understanding of all security roles and responsibilities, Woman’s Hospital policies and procedures relating to hospital security support, hospital organization and operations, and state and federal statutes and laws that directly affect hospital security support and response operations.

Must be knowledgeable of training and readiness standards for security team
