Woman’s offers the unique opportunity of staffing two RNs per OR suite/case. Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing is required
• Current licensure by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing is required
• Minimum of two years of experience in an Operating Room as an RN highly preferred
• Certification in the area preferred

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

• Performs assessment of the individual patient and procedure.
• Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Provide education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance.
• Coordinates all aspects of nursing care with all disciplines of the surgical team to achieve defined patient outcomes.
• Maintains a safe environment by implementing technical and aseptic practice.
• Directs and assists in care and handling of state of the art supplies, equipment and instruments.
• Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priority.
• Provide patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice standards, ANA Standards & the LA Nurse Practice Act.
• Perform other duties assigned by Department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital.

Hours

Sunday-Thursday Nights; 6:30pm to 7:00am; No Call

Part-time; two 12-hour shifts per week

Full-time; three 12-hour shifts per week

Pay

$27.72 - $44.35
