TheDepartment of Computer Science and Information Technology invites applicationsfor two one-year Visiting Assistant Professors with a focus on instruction, tobegin in Fall 2024.
VisitingAssistant Professor positions are non-tenure-track positions, hired on aone-year contract. A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering,Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field is strongly encouraged,though ABD applicants and those with relevant master’s degrees will beconsidered. Applicants must have a strong commitment to undergraduateeducation. Visiting full-time faculty teach 12 credits per semester, and willhave the opportunities to teach introductory, intermediate, and advancedcoursework depending on their experience and areas of interest.
The Computer Science & Information Technology department has 8full-time faculty members. The Department of Computer Science and InformationTechnology oversees programs leading to a Bachelor of Science in ComputerScience, Information Technology, and Cybersecurity; and a program leading to aMaster of Science in Computer Science. The Department also offers servicecourses for other University programs.

Essential Job Functions:

• The teaching of undergraduate courses in Computer Science, Information Technology or tangential fields as required by the University and specified by the Department Chair.
• The faculty member should carry out service duties as needed within the department.
• Supervision of laboratory work, if appropriate.
