WNB Financial NA is Hiring a Teller Supervisor Near Winona, MN

Description

The Teller Supervisor manages and coordinates all Teller functions in the Winona market. Conducts staff training to new hires with annual updates to all applicable staff. Understands and completes job responsibilities in accordance with federal and state compliance regulations.

Essential Functions:

Teller Supervisor 85%

  • Supervises all tellers in the Winona Market. 
  • Supports daily activities in the Teller area
  • Coaches the Teller team to meet monthly referral goals
  • Responsible for the selection, training and development of Teller staff. Provides regular training, coaching, and performance assessment
  • Prepares and adjusts Teller work schedules and prioritize work 
  • Facilitates monthly Teller meetings
  • Evaluates procedures for Teller area. Suggests recommended changes when needed
  • Updates and communicates all policies and procedural changes to the Teller Manual and Teller system
  • Examines Teller reports for overages/shortages
  • Monitors branch cash levels, reviewing cash orders and shipments, maintaining vault security
  • Effectively communicates system, policy or procedure updates as needed
  • Responsible for all audit and compliance functions regarding the Teller area
  • Responsible for the management and administration/updating of the business continuity plans and program

Teller Operations and Sales 10%

  • Assists clients in person and on the phone 
  • Communicates with clients on complex matters
  • Processes client transactions
  • Maintains, audits and balances cash drawer
  • Leads by example by suggesting products and services that best meet clients’ needs
  • Refers clients to proper coworker for banking assistance
  • Tracks client referrals and cross sales

Additional Duties and Responsibilities 5%

  • Serves on bank committees as needed
  • Assists other departments as needed
  • Participates in internal and external training and development opportunities as required
  • Other job related duties necessary to carry out responsibilities of this position

Regular contact with clients and co-workers. Regular contact with suppliers/vendors. Occasional contact with federal and state regulatory agencies. Works regularly with highly confidential business and client information. Occasionally participates in bank committees and events.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Requires associate degree in finance, business, or equivalent experience plus 2 years supervisory experience. 2 years of Teller, banking, or retail experience. Must possess: excellent ability to analyze, communicate, and make recommendations effectively regarding regulatory laws and guidance to coworkers, management and directors; highly effective problem solving, technical research, and follow-through skills. Must possess: courteous and professional customer service attitude; excellent verbal communication skills and strong written communication skills; ability to maintain the integrity of highly confidential client and Bank information. Must possess technical ability to input and retrieve computerized information; basic mathematical skills up to and including decimals; legible handwriting; ability to deal effectively with time pressures and stress that can change hourly depending on level of client activity; effective problem solving skills. 

Working Conditions: 

Work is performed largely in an office environment with minimal chance for personal injury. Regular contact with co-workers and clients. Regular mental and visual concentration for computer usage required. Occasional use of telephone. Frequent repetitive use of keyboard for approximately 6 hours per day; frequent repetitive handling and grasping of currency. Requires ability to receive and provide detailed information through verbal communication. Requires near-, mid-range, and far vision; color vision, and field of vision. Will alternate sitting, standing, and walking throughout work shift. Bend, stoop, turn, lift and carry up to 50 pounds of currency, documents, and office supplies. Occasionally push up to 300 pounds of coin. Occasional exposure to noise associated with drive-up equipment. Occasional exposure to significant work pace. Hours of work are generally during regular business hours. There will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines, community events, alarm/security calls, and other concerns.
Equipment Used: 

Operates personal computer in a Windows environment for word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, internet, and other bank specific software. Operates on the Silverlake core banking system. Utilizes a variety of office equipment including: computer printer, ten-key calculator, copy machine, cash/coin counting machines, coin wrapper, drive-up equipment, and multi-line telephone. Regular operation of vault and alarm system and occasional operation of money cart.
