Team Lead- Operations
Your role our team
The Team Lead is responsiblefor ensuring daily production targets are met through effective leadership,collaboration, and problem-solving. Acting as a front-line manager, the TeamLead will provide direct instruction and guidance to system operators whilepartnering with Maintenance, Onsite IT, Corporate remote technical support andexternal partners to ensure system up-time. Team Leads are the first point ofescalation for a broad range of employee and system issues and must be able tomultitask in the face of pressure and deadlines.

• Conduct all actions with and inspire among allcolleagues a Safety-First mindset
• Promote compliance with all relevant company policiesand government regulations including OSHA
• Lead by example through results-focused,people-centered direction, feedback, and coaching
• Serve as first point of contact for all employeerelations and system operational issues
• Develop effective processes to maintain systemperformance through shift changes, high volume periods, and irregularoperations in conjunction with other stakeholders
• Maintain open and transparent relationships withcustomer and other vendor contacts to ensure maximum system performance
• Ensure operational process consistency and employeedevelopment through the design and execution of uniform training and assessmentprograms
• Follow established escalation guidelines in the eventof system downtime or irregular operations
• Manage employee schedules and daily work assignmentsin conjunction with other stakeholders
• Leverage detailed reporting to understand system performanceand implement continuous improvement projects around employee performance andsystem operations
• Coordinate with Maintenance Team to ensure minimalsystem impact in the execution of preventive and ad hoc maintenance activities
• Participate and lead (as necessary) team, site, andcustomer meetings to ensure open, effective communications centered oncollaborative efforts to meet production goals

Ideal candidate profile
Education & Experience

• Required: High school diploma with 1-3 years'experience in a supervisory in a fast-paced manufacturing, automatedwarehouse, light industry, or related environment
• Preferred: Associates degree in a relevantsubject with 3-5 years' experience in a supervisory role in lightindustry, continuous flow manufacturing, automated warehouse, or relatedenvironment
• Experience working as an autonomous shift leader

• Familiarity with automated material handlingsystems strongly preferred

Skills & Knowledge

• Ability to coordinate andsupervise a team of frontline system operators
• Strong understanding ofautomated material handling systems
• Familiarity with basiclogistics and supply chain principles
• Familiarity LeanPrinciples, 6 Sigma, or other related continuous improvement processes
• Practical attitude andability to learn new skills and tasks
• Strong communication skills
• Analytical andproblem-solving skills
• Able to prioritizemultiple tasks and workload
• Proficient in MicrosoftOffice (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of OSHA Safetyguidelines

Scheduling & Travel

• Occasional travel withinNorth America may be required to undergo training and/or support sister sites;rare international travel may be necessary in support of company-wideinitiatives
• Must be able to work allshifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be available byphone 24/7 in the event of irregular operations and/or escalation

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work at heights of 80-100 feet
• Ability to adapt to a warehouse environment withtemperatures ranging from 34 degrees to -15 degrees
• Ability to lift and carry materials/equipmentnecessary to do the job
• Ability to walk/stand during a designated shift
• Lifting, pulling and pushing up to 50 pounds
