The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA)*, the private fundraising and alumni relations organization for UW-Madison, is recruiting for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our Technical Services & Support team, focused in the cloud services area. T his position is a hybrid role and will require you to work in the Madison WI office location at least two days weekly.
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, building, and supporting enterprise applications and virtualized resources within AWS, Microsoft Azure, and O365. You should have proven experience and skills to design, implement, maintain, and administer solutions in Infrastructure as a Service and Software as a Service environments. This role is responsible for a wide array of cloud-based applications, including productivity and collaboration tools, and is actively involved in the planning and execution of cloud solutions. You should have a solid understanding of Amazon Web Services and be familiar with deploying and supporting these services via CloudFormation templates. Knowledge of PowerShell scripting to support Microsoft 365 services is a must.
In this role, you take on more of the complex technical challenges, are involved in leading and/or participating on project initiatives that expand our technology portfolio and services and are a key participant in the management of our security framework. You are considered a solutionist and someone that enjoys collaboration and is willing to share your ideas to help drive and advocate change. You are passionate about serving customers and providing a great user experience. You are accountable for what you do and are willing to take personal ownership of your work. Your organizational and prioritization skills allow you to adjust to rapidly changing priorities. Self-driven to learn and stay abreast of technological trends, you bring value to the team through your ideas and recommendations. You have outstanding verbal and written communication skills that allow you to relate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
