Description

The Service Team Leader, under the direction of the Service Department Manager, is directly responsible for all aspects of service and delivery, as well as sales and merchandising related activities. This position is accountable for coaching and training a team of service representatives, helpers, and merchandisers, which can include up to 16 full-time equivalent employees in their respective territories. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Coaches and trains staff in all aspects of their duties and responsibilities
• Solves internal and external customer and department issues
• Interviews, hires, trains, uses progressive discipline as needed, reviews and recommends individuals for promotions
• Assists in the development and execution of all service department processes and procedures
• Maintains all required tracking and measuring, accurately and on time
• Communicates information changes to the proper person in a timely manner (i.e., Account Status Change, problems in the field)
• Verifies results of monthly tracking sheets weekly
• Recaps day on the “Ride-With Checklist” and submits to Service Manager daily
• Ensures portfolio tracking is current and accurate at all times
• Tracks attendance and vacation schedules; ensure requests are submitted, posted, and do not represent a conflict
• Follows all FMCSA standards
• Properly ensures that all staff adheres to safety guidelines and practices set forth by WDI, FMCSA, OSHA and all other regulatory agencies
• Participates in, as well as leads, department trainings and meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience working in the beverage industry required
• Supervisory and/or leadership experience required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record required
• Ability to lift/maneuver up to 165 pounds on a regular basis
• Displays a positive attitude and patience in dealing with employees and customers
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in the use of mobile devices and various applications, including an iPad
• High attention to detail
• Proven teamwork and people skills
