Job Title: Feed Delivery Driver - Dairy Feed Manufacturing and Nutrition Company

Position Overview: As a Feed Delivery Driver, you will be an essential part of our operations, ensuring that our high-quality feed products are delivered to our customers on time and in excellent condition. You will be responsible for transporting feed from our manufacturing facility to various dairy farms, maintaining delivery schedules, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery Operations:
  • Safely operate delivery trucks to transport feed products to dairy farms and other customer locations.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Load and unload feed products, ensuring they are handled with care to prevent damage.
  • Customer Service:
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Address any customer questions or concerns during deliveries and report feedback to the appropriate departments.
  • Ensure delivery documentation is accurate and obtain necessary customer signatures.
  • Vehicle Maintenance:
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of delivery trucks to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Report any vehicle issues or needed repairs to the fleet manager promptly.
  • Keep delivery vehicles clean and organized.
  • Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while operating delivery trucks.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and other relevant laws.
  • Participate in safety training sessions and maintain a strong focus on safe driving practices.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and inventory tracking.
  • Submit delivery reports and related paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Assist with inventory management and warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably in the agriculture or feed industry.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent driving skills and a commitment to safe driving practices.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy feed bags and operate delivery equipment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
