Expected annual base salary range: $62,460.00 to $97,000.00

GPS Level: M1

JOB SUMMARY:

The Team Leader, Accounting will be responsible for all areas relating to corporate accounting functions and financial reporting for the Company's numerous subsidiaries. Responsible for routine accounting tasks and activities and is heavily relied upon for the daily accounting operations of the company's business units. Hands-on approach and plan and perform internal audits to assess risk of controls and accuracy of financial information and develop recommendations based on reviews. Work closely with our business units and professional services firms in achieving these goals and operates in a customer-focused, shared-services environment. Performs a variety of challenging responsibilities including technical assignments, operational functions, reoccurring activity and special projects.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance or related field from four-year College or university.
Masters degree preferred

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSE/REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

CPA required

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 2-3 years of experience with Big 4 Accounting firm in Assurance or Technical Accounting Required
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required
Must have a thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
Knowledge of accounting systems needed; previous experience with NetSuite preferred. Experience with any/all of Concur, BlackLine, ADP Workforce, and Adaptive Insights is a plus.
Ability to understand operational systems and processes used in the operations and understand downstream impacts to financial statements.
Ability to analyze financial data and assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
Exceptional level of customer service, professionalism, accuracy, and detail.
Ability to express oneself clearly, concisely, and tactfully while demonstrating the ability to work with all employees required.
Must be able to exercise sound judgment and discretion, be flexible, work with interruptions, work in stressful situations, and shift priorities of work as required.
Ability to multi-task, meet strict deadlines and work independently required.
Close attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information required.
1 year of management experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

Prepare journal entries
Perform general ledger account analysis and reconciliations audit schedules, year-end tax schedules
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of financial reporting and the general ledger.
Thorough knowledge of sound accounting principles and their application to business transactions.
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
Participate in and drive efficiencies in month-end accounting close processes across all business units
Build partnerships with FP&A and various cross functional teams while representing the Corporate Finance team's interests and objectives.
Provide the Accounts Payable team with assistance in any accounting needs.
Responsible for Managing the Month-end Accrual Process.
Collaborate with other shared services and business unit finance personnel to support overall department and Company goals and objectives.
Analyze own work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Work with the external auditors to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
Assist in system maintenance and implementations.
Assist and support special projects and workflow process improvements.
Assist with update of SOPs for finance-related processes at least annually.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise 1 or more direct reports in the Corporate Accounting team
Trains and oversees employees involved in Accounting Functions
Directs assigned tasks and provides assistance as needed
Conducts performance evaluations

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 5% - 10%
