Overview

Scope of Position: The Host Development Associate partners with the Host Development team to equip Church Hosts to host camp effectively as well as leads and assists in project management throughout the year. This specific intern helps us oversee the OPS side of Host Development. 

LDP Scope: An entry level and one-year program for WinShape Camps Summer Staff to step in and help assist the full-time team to prepare for camp the next summer. This role will then serve in a camp leadership role the summer following the year of service. This position also gets to take advantage of intentional leadership development opportunities offered by the Staff Development Team of WinShape Camps

Reports to: Manager, Host Development

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Host Development Team 
• Partners with WSC Marketing to coordinate Spring Road Crew and provide marketing support for Hosts 
• Supports Team Lead, Host Development as a Host Development Representative, communicating directly with Church hosts 
• Supports the Host Invoices & Contracts 
• Periodically attends Host Site Visits 
• Provide support for the Host Rally Event 
• Serves in the summer in a WSCC Leadership Position 
• Serves along our Host Dev OPS Coordinator to best serve our hosts needs 

• Works 25-29 hours a week in the WinShape Camps office.
• Participates in Leadership Development events that occur throughout the year (approximately 10% of your work time will be devoted to these events and learning.)
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
• Requires 1-2 years of related work experience 
• Advanced skills in Word, Microsoft Outlook, Excel 
• Demonstrated experience in successfully handling confidential information 
• Experience in providing care/support to clients or customers 
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills 
• Demonstrated experience in executing multiple projects simultaneously 
• Demonstrates skill in written and verbal communication, time management, and multi-tasking. .
• Maintain regular office hours in the WinShape Camps office (25-29 hours a week). 
• A self-professing Christ follower, actively involved in a Christian faith community and actively pursuing Christ on a consistent basis. 
• Must hold or obtain a valid driver’s license for the state in which they are hired and have an acceptable driving record.
