Overview

Scope of Position: To support the preparation of camp internationally through the development of camp programming. To support the execution of camp internationally through serving on the leadership teams for Project and Summer camps. 

LDP Scope: An entry level and one-year program for WinShape Camps Summer Staff to step in and help assist the full-time team to prepare for camp the next summer. This role will then serve in a camp leadership role the summer following the year of service. This position also gets to take advantage of intentional leadership development opportunities offered by the Staff Development Team of WinShape Camps. The position begins August 26th, 2024 and ends at the completion of Summer Staff commitment in August 2025.

Responsibilities

• Writes five skill playbooks for WSCI Summer 2025 
• Writes small group content for WSCI Summer 2025
• Reviews camp communicator moments for WSCI Summer 2025 
• Develops additional camp programming as assigned 
• Supports additional projects as assigned 
• Serves in a leadership position on WinShape Camps International Project Teams and Summer Team 
• Supports additional projects as assigned 
• Serves in a leadership position on WinShape Camps International Project Teams and Summer Team 
• Works 25-29 hours a week in the WinShape Camps office.
• Participates in Leadership Development events that occur throughout the year (approximately 10% of your work time will be devoted to these events and learning.)
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
• Requires 1-2 years of related work experience 
• Demonstrates skills in organization, leadership, adaptability, interpersonal relationships, and teamwork 
• Preferred experience in international ministry 
• Demonstrates skill in written and verbal communication, time management, and multi-tasking.
• Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office applications preferred.
• Maintain regular office hours in the WinShape Camps office (25-29 hours a week). 
• A self-professing Christ follower, actively involved in a Christian faith community and actively pursuing Christ on a consistent basis. 
• Must hold or obtain a valid driver’s license for the state in which they are hired and have an acceptable driving record.
