Winnsboro ISD is Hiring an Assistant Band Director Near Winnsboro, TX
Winnsboro ISD is seeking an energetic member to join our team! The ideal candidate would have specialization in woodwind pedagogy, but all qualified applicants will be considered. Colorguard and/or DCI experience is a plus.
Winnsboro ISD has experienced much success in recent years with consistent 1st division ratings at UIL Region Marching and Concert contest/evaluation, as well as consistent appearances at Area Marching Contest finals and appearances at the UIL State Marching Contest finals in 2021 and 2023. The Winnsboro High School Wind Ensemble finished first in the ATSSB Outstanding Performance Series in 2023.
Winnsboro High School and Junior High are consistent UIL sweepstakes award winning bands, including two concert bands at the junior high, and two bands at the high school.
This position is a team teaching environment, where all directors are expected to be at every rehearsal and performance. Directors are required to have and/or obtain a CDL with passenger bus endorsement.
