Winnebago Mental Health Institute(WMHI) is a psychiatric hospital providing quality mental health services to children, adolescents and adults and is looking for a Limited Term Employee (LTE) to work up to 20 hours a week as a Food Service Assistant (FSA1), primarily in the Kitchen area.

The FSA1 (Kitchen) rinses, washes, and sanitizes all pots and pans; delivers and picks up food carts and food for catering events; cleans and sanitizes food production and storage areas; cleans kitchen and bakery offices; takes out trash and recyclables. As part of the Food Service production team; maintains sanitation, safety, and security standards.

Qualifications: This position requires the following:

• Ability to work scheduled hours as agreed upon, which could include weekends, holidays, early morning or late afternoon,
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Training and/or experience using a computer to enter data.

In addition, well-qualified candidates will have:

• Knowledge of basic sanitation, hand washing and safety standards in a food service environment.
• Customer service experience.
• Previous food service or production experience.
• ServSafe (or equivalent food service certification).
• Experience working cooperatively as part of a team.

Job Details:

All applicants will be required to allow the DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any convictions may be related to the job being filled.

All appointees will be required to receive a TB screen and other pre-employment health assessments prior to their start date.

This position has physical requirements which may include but are not limited to lifting up to 45 lbs., and able to push and pull up to 50 pounds. There is lifting of objects forward and overhead. Must be able to climb a step ladder and maintain good balance. Applicants may be required to pass a physical evaluation to assess these requirements.

Pay: $15.86 per hour
