This position works with all departments and customers; navigating high pressure situations while maintaining a professional demeanor through excellent communication and creative problem solving.

What You'll Do

To succeed in this role you'll need to:

  • Fielding various forms of incoming communication, including phone calls, emails, instant messages, 3rd party portals
  • Navigating service requests from multiple sources (email, portals, phone, messaging tools
  • Facilitating the dispatch of our technicians
  • Guiding each service request through to completion
  • Making detailed notations throughout the process
  • Communicate diligently with technicians/customers/operation staff
  • Receiving parts / equipment and confirming accuracy / condition of such deliveries
  • Identifying damage to packaging and contents during transit damage, including refusing delivery
  • Handling heavy parcels in conjunction to receiving and shipping duties
  • Loading and unloading trucks and trailers using forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Participating in an On-Call Service Dispatcher Rotation
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service at all times
  • Demonstrating the ability to take and follow instruction
  • Continually embrace a team atmosphere while demonstrating a high level of professionalism
  • Making positive business decisions with intent to benefit the Windy City organization as a whole
  • Having an open mind, continually and consistently be willing to challenge yourself to improve while aiding the growth and expansion of Windy City, as responsibilities will evolve with position.

The starting pay range for Service Dispatcher is $19 - $25 per hour depending on experience.
