Report on-site in Washington, DC

Experience preferred.

  • Facilities support service duties include but are not limited to inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization, typing, filing, labeling, indexing, reproduction services, faxing, packaging items for shipment, and performing physical tasks in preparation of goods to be transported or stored.
  • Material handling may include manually loading or unloading freight packages, unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations or transporting goods by hand truck, cart, or other wheeled devices.

Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds.

  • Perform clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping and receiving goods.
  • Shipping duties typically involve verifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents; ensuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into appropriate transporting packaging. Preparing and keeping records of goods shipped both manually and in an automated system.
  • Receiving duties usually involve verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records, checking for damaged goods, ensuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing and delivery to departments and offices. Contractor employee to receive assignments, turn in completed work to requesting Government personnel for Government inspection/acceptance, and revise based on Government feedback; keeping records of given assignments, time spent per assignment, and problems that may arise; operating basic office equipment (e.g., computer, photocopier, scanner, and computer programs Microsoft Office); composing non-technical correspondences in accordance with established SOL instructions, using clear, concise language and ensuring that spelling, punctuation, and grammar are correct; and other related duties as assigned.
  • Providing visual checks and reviews of equipment conditions.
  • Maintaining inventory of hardware.
  • Updating service requests status in the work order tracking system.
  • Respond to trouble calls deliver via phone, email, and/or the automated trouble ticket system.
  • Enter, update, the status of, and document resolution to trouble calls into the work order tracking system.
  • Diagnose trouble calls and escalate to the appropriate departmental IT personnel for resolution if needed.

Ability to use basic office equipment including computer, photocopier, scanner, and computer programs such as LexisNexis, Laserfiche, Relativity, Adobe Pro, WordPress, Google Drive, Cloud, and Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to convey, obtain, and exchange information and documents with attorneys and other appropriate SOL personnel. Possess analytical ability and knowledge of various methods used to gather, analyze, and evaluate information.
